Visit the Sun Yat Sen Nanyang Memorial Hall which is a pioneer villa found at Balestier. This Hall was created to celebrate Dr. Sun Yat Sen who traveled to Singapore eight times from the 1900's to 1911.This villa holds a ton of history as it was once used as a communications center by the Japanese. In 1994, the memorial hall officially became a national monument. There are 6 different galleries to view when visiting the Memorial Hall. These are the Hall of Peace, Passage of History, Hall of Wisdom, Gallery of Endeavor, Passage through the Eras, The Singapore Gallery, The Nanyang Gallery and The Testament Gallery.
